Sweden Daily Deaths and 7-day moving average, from Worldometer, from 9–15–2020.

It is time to end the coronavirus shutdown of the world’s economies.

The original goal was based on modeling that was grossly wrong. The goal itself was to “flatten the curve”, an objective that has already been met, months ago.

The remaining shutdown is due to fear-mongering, not science. Six months into the shutdowns, WE STILL HAVE ZERO SCIENTIFIC STUDIES TO SUPPORT THAT THEY EVEN WORK. By comparison, Sweden NEVER did shut down, and while they did NEARLY overcrowd their hospitals for three weeks, the disease is nearly over in their country (see graph).

The remaining shutdown is clearly causing more harm — physical harm to people and economic harm to nations — than Covid ever could have. The UK study shows that death rates from unscreened and untreated cancers will already set back cancer treatment and research by years.

Last, worldwide, case counts (nearly meaningless by themselves), positive percentages (again nearly meaningless out of context), hospitalizations, ICU admissions, and even fatalities from C-19 are declining.

It is past time we got back to life!
